We would like to inform you that Dr Ward is leaving the Mount Avenue Surgery in August 2023. He has personally asked to pass on this message.

“As many of you know I have a strong association with Scotland and after a long career at Mount Avenue I am moving to complete my career there and to enjoy all that Scotland has to offer.

I joined Mount Avenue Surgery in 1996 straight from GP training and over the last 27 years have seen many changes and challenges in General Practice. I know, and hope that you have seen, that Mount Avenue strives to provide an excellent and responsive service to our patients, and I am proud of my part in the team that delivers that.

Over the years I cannot count the thousands of patients I have met. Those meetings with you all are what makes up a career in General Practice. Those conversations, relationships and memories are what I will take with me from my time at Mount Avenue and I would like to say a big thank you to you all.

Mount Avenue Surgery remains in very good hands and I am sure you will continue to support all the doctors, nurses and staff as they continue to provide an excellent service in these difficult times.”
