For the purposes of Staff training this surgery, along with others in the Billericay, Basildon & Wickford area, will be closed after 13.00pm first Tuesday in a month.
Extended Hours
GP Practices in Brentwood will no longer be open on Saturdays from 1st October 2022. Practices are no longer contracted to provide Saturday mornings once the existing contract ceases at the end of September 2022.
However, Brentwood practices will continue to provide evening and weekend appointments via ACE at the Brambles Surgery which can be booked via your GP practice.
GP Extended Access HUB
As of 1st April 2018 the Brentwood Extended Access HUB is open, this will operate from the Brambles Surgery on the old Highwood Hospital Site in Geary Drive.
Please contact Mount Avenue surgery to book a routine appointment with a doctor or nurse in the HUB, which will be open as follows:
Monday to Friday 6.30pm to 8.30pm
Saturday 9.00am to 3.00pm
Sunday 10.00am to 2.00pm

Emergency 'Out of Hours' Services
This is provided for our patients via the NHS 111 out-of-hours service and is commissioned by NHS England.
It covers the hours when the surgery is closed, i.e. from 6.30pm each evening until 8.00am on weekdays, all bank holidays and weekends (and during all extended hours including Saturday mornings).
Patients should telephone 111 to access this service. The professionals at NHS 111 will be able to discuss your medical needs and direct you to the most appropriate provider. Such advice will include all local options including telephone advice, GP visits etc.
